About the Deck

The Celtic Lenormand by Chloë McCracken (with illustrations by Will Worthington) re-imagines the 36 traditional symbols through the lens of Celtic mythology and the British and Irish landscape. The Rider becomes a Celtic horseman; the Tree leans toward the sacred trees of druidic tradition; the Bear borrows from Welsh and Irish folk imagery. The Lenormand system is preserved cleanly — only the visual vocabulary shifts.

Will Worthington is also the artist behind the Druidcraft Tarot, the Wildwood Tarot, and the Faeries' Oracle, so readers familiar with those decks will instantly recognise his hand here.

The Artwork

Worthington paints in warm, naturalistic oils with a strong sense of place — landscapes are recognisably British or Irish, colour palettes lean earthy, and the figures (when they appear) have the slightly mythic quality his work is known for. The Celtic context is woven throughout but doesn't overwhelm; the deck remains a working Lenormand first and a Celtic-themed art deck second.

Who It's For

Readers with a connection to Celtic, druidic, or British/Irish folk tradition. Also readers who already work with Worthington's other decks (Druidcraft, Wildwood) and want a Lenormand companion in the same visual world.

The 36 Cards

Standard 36 in traditional numbering. McCracken's accompanying book offers Celtic-flavoured readings of each card alongside the classical interpretations, but the system itself is unchanged.
